For some reason this reminds me of when Buddy Ryan (IIRC) brought in Jim McMahon as backup QB. I could see it, especially if Farve wants to do some healing and have a good year or two as backup under his belt. The good thing as backup is he won’t have to play every down, at least early, and will get to rest up and heal up some. I agree the off field stuff could be a huge distraction but the hope is he is trying to get out of that stuff too, or at least get other stuff out there by playing and working well as a player.

My main concern this year in Offense is the Offensive Line. I still remember Jim McMahon going into that Gatorade. That Buddy era O-Line had a few rough games that year!

If they get the protection right for Vick he will do better and whoever the backup is will play less, though probably have a better time out there playing!

There are other QBs out there and I hear you. I can see Reid doing this though. It would make sense in a few ways and Farve might end up getting some love in Philly from the fans. Though I still miss Garcia
